Double Your Impact: Corporate Matching & Volunteer Grants
Multiply Your Support for Youth Leadership and Outdoor Adventure Through Your Employer
Did you know that many companies will match financial contributions or donate cash grants for the volunteer hours their employees give? Through our partnership with Double the Donation, you can easily turn a single contribution into double—or even triple—the support for local Scouts, or turn your volunteer hours into direct funding for our council.
Two Ways to Multiply Your Support
1. Corporate Matching Gifts
Corporate matching gift programs are charitable giving initiatives setup by companies to match financial donations made by their employees to eligible non-profits like Scouting America.
How It Works: When you make a financial donation to our council (e.g., Friends of Scouting, Camperships, or Capital Projects), your employer matches your gift—often at a 1:1 ratio, and sometimes up to 2:1 or 3:1!
The Impact: A $100 donation from you instantly becomes a $200 or $300 investment in local youth programs, camp improvements, and leader training.
2. Volunteer Grants (“Dollars for Doers”)
Many employers offer Volunteer Involvement Program (V.I.P.) grants—also known as Dollars for Doers or Time Match Programs. Companies grant monetary donations to non-profits based on the number of hours their employees volunteer!
How It Works: Your employer provides a set dollar amount to the council for every milestone of volunteer hours you log (e.g., $250 for every 20 hours served).
Who Qualifies: You do not need to be a registered adult leader to qualify! Any volunteer service—attending pack meetings, driving Scouts to camp, organizing snacks, serving on committees, or helping with service projects—qualifies as volunteer hours.

Frequently Asked Questions

No! Volunteer grants are funded entirely by your employer to reward and encourage civic involvement in the communities where their employees live and work.
What programs do matching funds support?
Matching gifts and volunteer grants directly fund essential local Scouting operations, including:
Camperships: Providing financial assistance so every child can attend summer camp regardless of financial situation.
